Three Meals of Chaos

The frequency of my family asking “What did we eat the other day for _______?” led me to photographing our food. What began as an occasional means of addressing short-term memory challenges and the food intolerance(s) within the home transcended into a personal obsession. As sheltering in place became a reality, documenting the culinary creations evolved into a visual diary entry of my experiences during the pandemic. This installation represents all the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners between March 11, 2020 and September 13, 2022 while featuring the 2109 meals that I cooked for my household.
